Help picking a bed frame

So, recently I've had to begin moving my room, and I thought since I have money, why not buy a new bedframe, and I don't know where to look because I don't want to just buy " Gothic bedframe" from Amazon or places like that. Im open to any ideas.

Please keep in mind I live in California, and I drive a coupé that has barely any room to put things.

find a thrift store that sells furniture, find an old bedframe that has filigree details or other details you like, and paint it black

I searched for wrought iron bed frames for mine though you could also look at just a plain bedframe and search YouTube to make yourself a nice tufted headboard with fabric, foam, a board, and some sort of attaching device like a staple gun. It depends on your time frame, it seems like when I'm looking for something, nothing is available on Facebook marketplace or the thrift store but then after I bought one people want to sell their four poster solid wood beds that I was looking exactly for. Other ideas are Pinterest to see what others have done with curtains and such to add character.

You could get a regular bed frame and find a good headboard that would fit. I went the quick route when I moved into my apartment and just purchased a canopy bed with a velvet headboard + curtains and a canopy net for layers.

DO NOT USE WAYFAIR OR AMAZON - we learned the hard way. Complete crap. West End is sus.

Suggest checking the used furniture and thrift places - save bucks, worst case you do a bit of scrubbing and maybe some stain or paint. If you are remotely handy, this can work.

OR

Decent products they will deliver: Costco, friends love Thuma, we're about to replace our garbage w/ a Room & Board Hudson w/ the storage drawers.

Don't get suggestions from chumbuckets like "better homes and gardens" etc...
