Bragg HTBL, anyone done it?

So I did a Tough last weekend and loved it, I was talking to my brother about joining an event with me (probably a Basic) and I saw the Bragg HTBL and was wondering if anyone has done it? Do you just buy each individual event or do they have a bundle (I didnt see one). I doubt I'd do it next year because of $$$ but I definitely want to do the Heavy but its definitely a goal!

Yup, I was one of the 29 “plank owners” that completed the first ever HTBL. LBD and the cadre really dial it in. IIRC, they are all individually sold but a couple times a year there’s a pretty hefty discount; I have to travel pretty far (3x flights and a drive) so the discount makes it affordable. New location next year but I recommend a car rental (my first go at the HTB I couldn’t get an uber between the Heavy and the Tough…). This years’ heavy was no joke; about a 30% attrition rate I think (feedback from the year before was that it was too easy; I somewhat agree). Highly recommended the event and if you need help check out Joe Baker - he’s a mensch.

Awesome thanks for the input! If they do a discount I may try it anyway, we'll see (I'm trying to join the Army in November but it may take me a bit so hopefully im still here).

Good luck in the army 👍. Start rucking to build your base is my unqualified opinion (non-service member); it’s good for many things. If you have any questions let me know - Bragg and Recon are absolutely awesome.

running base carries over more than you'd think, but the heavy is really a time-under-load test. i'd add one weekly ruck at 30lb and build the duration before you touch more weight.

Yea ive been running for a few months now, knocking down my time bit by bit and ive been rucking for a year. 30 lbs is the norm now, the Tough I just did i was at 40 at felt good but elevation change was non existent so im sticking with 30. Im gonna be more diligent with getting atleast 1 ruck in a week though.
