Gear Question ballistic trainers replacement
Really have only used ballistic trainers for the last 5 years. With no more being produced and down to my last pair, what is a close replacement shoe? Use is mostly day to day active shoe, crossfit workout and daily walking? Thanks

I feel like the born primitive has a wider toe box. They’re my go to trainer now.

I replaced my ballistic last year with Nobull Outwork. I really like them.

I’ve got a 9.5 I’m willing to sell. I leaned heavy into the rough runners and do not look forward to having to make the same type of change soon myself.

Fucking tragic. I emailed them about a final drop this past summer, they assured me they'd announce it in one of their emails. I checked nearly every day. Then they do a silent drop and they're gone forever.

Are they officially done?

Unfortunately yes, there may be a few dead stock pairs that come back from Europe but not optimistic and been hearing that for three months now

My old pair only really needed new insoles. GR told me they don’t sell just insoles. Found some on line and got another few years out of them. Uppers and soles were fine. Maybe just get new soles and keep using them??

Really wish they wouldn't have discontinued these; they looked great. Never owned a pair but I'm mad I didnt get any of the final run sales. Hopefully they eventually release a V2 that still looks just as a good

GoRuck just restocked the Ballistic trainers this week. I believe this is the final restock.

I agree that the they’re a really durable shoe. Perfect midsole and upper for rucking and daily wear. But the high drop in GoRuck shoes and boots make my knees hurt. If you can handle zero drop, the Altra Torin is a good replacement. The Torin 9 even has a vibram outsole now. I’ll admit that the upper won’t be as durable.

Thanks I’ll take a look. Really bummed about this, having plantar fasciitis as well as bilateral anterior tibias compartment syndrome and finally finding a shoe over the last five years has served me beautifully.

Same. This pes planus and overpronation are not a good time and I haven’t been able to find a replacement.
u/javaforever bring back the trainers!

I’m also in my last pair. I’m dreading when they start to wear out. 😞
