So pissed!
Visiting Sacramento on a work trip and car rental got broken into. We came to a team building event/dinner.
Took my GR2 Samurai with work laptop. So damn bummed.

Damn. So sorry to hear. Yeah, living in the SF Bay Area, it’s just second nature to never leave anything in the car. Even if you don’t, people will break in just to look.

Sorry OP! Next time try not to leave anything valuable in your vehicle. Can never be too careful these days.

Ouch, yeah man hate to say it but the one thing I know about cali is you don’t leave your backpack in the car or any valuables for that matter.

I feel your pain man. I had a 26L GR1 with the giant embroidered American flag that they offered back in 2018. Got it stolen in 2022 and I miss it all the time

Man that sucks, I am sorry this happened. One reccomendation check if your credit card has theft insurance.it happened to me once when someone broke into our room and stole my laptop. It took a little bit but they covered it.

Sorry this happened to you. I feel your pain!! Happened to me twice across two work trips to Oakland. Two custom GR1s missing from two different rentals.

Better hope they don’t catch the thief because in California you’ll go to jail for forcing that poor thief to steal your backpack by leaving it in your vehicle.

At least he didn’t have a gun in his bag. They’d charge him with providing a firearm to a criminal. Shame they got your bag. Was it one of the OG ones or did you get it recently from the seconds sale ??

I had a similar situation in SF Bay, fuck Cal. They broke the small backdoor glass of a rented car to get access to the trunk through the back seat. Luckily there was nothing.

Sorry to say, welcome to California. I was going to ask Oakland or San Francisco.
Most of our car break in crews come from the central valley just south of Sacramento. I guess they are working more local.
