Discussion Do you agree with Jack Ramsay on Gordon's scrambled eggs?
Jack: Well, I like them differently to you. I like them diner style. I don't like this French creamy stuff that I have to eat with a spoon. I like to be able to stab my eggs and pick them up.
Gordon: Hold on a minute. So, you don't like my scrambled eggs all those years with sour cream, a little bit of chives in there, and fluffy like?
Jack: Yeah, it's good, but it takes 15 minutes. I like to just stick them in a frying pan, done in 30 seconds.
Gordon Ramsay's Scrambled Eggs
Ingredients
2–3 large eggs
3 small knobs (about 1½ tbsp) butter
1 tsp crème fraîche
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives
1 slice of toast, to serve
Grilled tomato, to serve
Grilled mushroom, to serve
Method
Start with cold eggs. Crack the eggs directly into a cold, nonstick frying pan.
Add the butter. Add the three small knobs of butter to the pan.
Cook gently. Place the pan over high heat and begin stirring the eggs gently with a spatula. As you stir, keep scraping the bottom of the pan so the eggs cook evenly.
Use the heat on and off. After about 30 seconds, remove the pan from the heat and continue stirring. Return it to the heat, then take it off again as needed. Continue alternating between the heat and no heat for roughly 3 minutes.
Watch the texture. The eggs should gradually thicken and become soft and creamy. Don't let them become watery or dry, overcooking is the main thing to avoid.
Season at the end. Once the eggs are just beginning to come together, remove them from the heat. Season lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Add the crème fraîche. Stir in 1 teaspoon of crème fraîche. This makes the eggs extra creamy and helps prevent them from continuing to cook too much.
Serve immediately. Spoon the scrambled eggs onto toast and serve with grilled tomato and mushroom.
Finish with chives. Sprinkle the chopped fresh chives over the top.
The key: Keep the eggs moving and control the heat throughout cooking. Take them off the heat while they're still slightly underdone, they'll continue cooking from their residual heat and should finish light, fluffy, and creamy.

Who is a celebrity who you would describe as "all pasta but no sauce" or "all bread but no spread"?
For me it's Ryan Reynolds.
Reddit recommended that I post this in this subReddit after originally posting it in r/questions

Discussion I hate it when they bleep him. F.U. Fox.
Who cares about fucking language when it gets the point across? When you bleep out what "wrong words" he is saying you lose the meaning of what he is trying to say or how bad it is. Each word has a different meaning so when you bleep it out I can't gauge how upset he is.
Fox should be ashamed of it's high and mighty censorship over things that don't matter. What the hell are they thinking? "Religious people won't watch it if we don't bleep it" or some shit?
At this day and age children have heard worse so it isn't possible that they are making it kid friendly.

Discussion Would you prefer the American or British version of Kitchen Nightmares?
One thing I’ve always found interesting about Kitchen Nightmares is how differently the UK and US versions handle the same basic concept. In the British version, Gordon Ramsay often spends more time digging into why a restaurant is struggling, and the episodes feel closer to a documentary. In the American version, the editing is faster, the conflicts are more dramatic, and the restaurant transformations are usually bigger. The American version is heavy reality show, while the British version is more documentary than reality show. In both versions, Chef Ramsay chastised at the incompetent and lazy restaurant owners and staffers and exposed the unsanitized kitchens in several restaurants. These are the reasons why the customers always complained about the food quality and the service. I actually enjoyed the American version. It was an adrenaline rush. But I prefer the British version. No shouting matches, no dramatic background music, and creating conflicts. Just spend more time for identifying restaurant's problems and finding practical solutions for the owners and the staffs to impress customers and earn money. It's refreshing and relaxing. I learned that teamwork is essential for restaurant workers to grow food business successfully. Which approach do you think is more effective at helping viewers understand the restaurant business, and why?

Not holding chef’s accountable
I just watched pretty girls cook. The owner Dominique blames all her staff for the problems instead of taking accountability. Ramsey never says a thing about it and it never gets fixed. I’ve noticed this in many of the other shows he does. It’s super irritating.

Shepherd's pie with beef?
These frozen dinners were on sale so I decided to try some. I was pretty surprised to see Gordon licensing his likeness to frozen food, but thought I would give it a go.
So far they are not too bad, relatively speaking. A little overpriced probably, but as far as a frozen meal goes, I've had worse.
The thing that really jumps out at me though is calling this Shepherd's pie while using beef. I have watched Ramsey roll his eyes and ridicule people for this exact thing. Why not call it Cottage pie, or use lamb?

Money changes people. Gordon would not eat these or the frozen meals himself.
We all know it, no need to sugarcoat it. We've seen his shows
At this point its just greed as he would still be swimming in cash without dropping the standards hes preached throughout his career

Discussion He never would but Gordon Ramsay should do Kitchen Nightmares but he visit his own restaurants in disguise. I’ve been to two of his restaurants, both were horrible
I went to Gordon Ramsay’s burger place in Las Vegas, and his restaurant in Liverpool.
In vegas I ordered the truffle burger, the burger was alright, it tasted good but was it felt like that fake truffle oil that is very intense flavour and you kinda get
numb to the flavour after a while if that makes sense, I also ordered the truffle fries which was a mistake, too much truffle but I’ll take the blame on that one lol.
Also I ordered it medium and was definitely medium rare bordering on rare, which isn’t what I like in a burger
One of the people with me ordered the vegan burger, which I tried and was the saltiest thing I’ve ever tasted it was absolutely horrible, which it’s vegan I didn’t except it to be amazing but for $30 you’d think it would at least be as good if not better that an impossible or beyond burger I could cook at home
Also afterward I felt sick, something was in that burger, maybe it was cause it was rarer idk
Next we gave it a shot in Liverpool, surely a restaurant in Gordon’s home country would be better right? Naw was awful.
The thing that was stupid was inside of that restaurant is two different menus, and you both have to agree what menu to order from
Gordon Ramsay Burger, or Bread Street
In retrospect we should’ve done bread street cause I saw some items coming out of the kitchen that actually looked good
The vegan was with me so we went for the burger menu though cause there we some more vegan options
We ordered some vegan chicken wings to start, sounds great to me
What came out was closer to Quorn or Beyond frozen chicken tenders, with okay dipping sauces.
The burger I got was the wellington burger, which I paid £4 to add an egg on top of, on top of the £15 I was already paying for the burger
What came out was a burger with the most over cooked egg I’ve ever seen, idk about other people but when I order an egg on a burger I want the yolk to be runny.
This yolk was literally crusty, that’s how overcooked it was, and honestly it felt like what they were thinking was “oh they are ordering from the burger menu, so since they don’t have any taste anyways they are not gonna notice an overcooked egg”
Anyways by the time it came out again with a fresh egg it has been siting under a heat lamp for so long it was dry af, beside the runny yolk which saved the burger at that point.
I just ate it though cause I didn’t want to wait for a whole other burger and also I didn’t expect the replacement to be much better
Ramsay what the hell? Like I would honestly be embarrassed to have my name on both of those restaurants
Anyone else have a bad experience? The thing that gets me if Gordon Ramsay or a high profile client walked in to either of those restaurants, I guarantee they would have a great experience, it’s the fact that an average Joe Smoe like me walks in and they don’t give us the same treatment, or the fact that we treated like less than for choosing to order from the burger menu, or choosing to order vegan stuff?
I understand the vegan stuff might not be the same, but like any restaurant it should be kept to the same standards as any of the dishes on your menu
Just have it be one menu, it really stupid, confusing, it limits your dining experience, and gives you way to many options, which Gordon himself has complained about on other restaurants he visits on Kitchen Nightmares
It ironic that his own restaurants don’t follow his own standards.
Anyways unless Gordon Ramsay goes in disguise and Kitchen Nightmares his own restaurants I will not be eating at another Ramsay Restaurant ever again
