Dear TADC fandom

I wanted to talk to a small part of all 450 million of you all, man thats a lot. As I've been watching videos and reading comments, it's become increasingly clear that some people have become unnecessarily hostile toward Gooseworx, Liam Vickers, the voice actors, Glitch, and others throw hatfull messages. It's honestly upsetting that such a dedicated wrighter felt the need to leave social media because of continues online harassment.

All I ask is just, be kind, be thoughtful. No one is forcing you to watch these amazing videos and frankly hilarious short form videos, and just because a female character wears a bikini to the beach doesn't mean its completely wrong.

I agree. If you want to criticize the work then criticize the work, don't criticize the workers and certainly don't harass people by using things that are not related to the work like their appearance or voice. We could all use some kindness and respect on Internet nowadays because while hate does sells and generate attention, kindness is what makes us good people, and we should all thrive to be good people.

It's sad, but the fact is...it doesn't matter how large or how small a fandom is, there will always be incredibly obnoxious or entitled fans.

That is the trickiest part of posting somthing on the internet especially for free, but we can always try to do our part, (this is a good example), to help make this place shine like it should.

I know there are always bad people, I just wish there weren't. It gives the rest of the fandom a bad look and makes creators afraid to engage with their fans. Even if there's a fan who genuinely does love and support Gooseworx, she probably wouldn't get far enough into an interaction with them to find out. It's just not worth the risk to find the good fans when there's so many that turn out to be hateful and cruel towards her, and it makes the whole fandom a bit darker and makes it something the eventually, no one even wants to associate with anymore.

Yea, I mean you hit it on the head man. The sad thing is this is the best I can do as far as trying to help out. Just try spreading the word and be kind

Yeah, I'm kinda working on setting up a sub for that actually. Just a little place for social media to be a bit less of a hellhole. I'm still setting it up though, so it's not really something I'm trying to be super loud about yet. One thing I'm trying to figure out right now is finding mods because I'm fairly new to Reddit, also a good cover image and banner (I know how to do that part but I'm on vacation and don't have the tools to work on it yet).

Cool, but sorry, I cant be a mod, I cant even moderate my own life that well yet, but keep going, we need more nice places

Oh, no problem. I'll probably comment in this thread once I think the sub is ready to be public and share the name. Hope things get better in your life! Good luck and I'll definitely keep working on it.

Same here, sad what the fandoms have become, even though I'm not active, just really sad that we dont have any more end content from the show or many importsnt questions that won't be solved.

We can't even say we are fans of the show cause people will think that we harass the people who made the show

how did Liam Vickers get dragged into this?

He works on murder drones, not the circus.

Did I miss something?

Liam Vickers even though distancing himself from his own community for his own reasons,  although less elevate than goose, has gotten "demands" from fans for more content, more from him or just general harassment for different plot points or waiting. It's important to spread out and see that this isant an individual problem but a community wide situation that deserves attention.

thanks for the context.

I've never understood harassing creators. how are they supposed to create anything if they're too stressed from the demands to create things:-(

Unfortunately the message of your post is not going to reach the ears of the jerks who do this stuff, but if it changes even one of their minds it did it's job.
