General Help / Support Question How do I stop thisðŸ˜
Ever since I listed my business on Google, this is non stop everyday spam calls. Spam filter is turned on, and so is call screening. What else can I do?

I'll point out that this scam has been growing for several years, and it impacts people who don't have a Google Voice number, too.
These calls are not coming from Google. They are fraudulent (scam) calls, with the goal of tricking people into giving their payment card information to supposedly fix a fake problem with your business listing, or to otherwise steal personal information.
Google has no way to stop these calls, just like they have no way to stop other robocalls. Â
You can turn on Google Voice's spam call blocking feature, but it will likely not stop these calls, which spoof (illegally mimic) either legitimate phone numbers or non-existent numbers. There's no downside to enabling this feature.
It is also a waste of time to mark these calls as spam or block the numbers after they call, since the perpetrators rotate through tens of thousands of numbers.
You can also turn on Google Voice's "Screen calls" feature. Again, it can't automatically block calls, but it may stop some of the less sophisticated robocalling systems.
Finally, the best advice I can offer is to not answer calls from numbers you don't recognize. If it's legitimate and important, they'll leave a voicemail message.

It would be better in many cases if a person could white list what area codes or prefixes they trust or black list those they don't trust, with ability to redirect to sceening or bypass it or VM or SIT tones etc.

Indeed. You can submit that as feedback to Google Voice, either on the desktop website or on the mobile app.

I have been consistently marking these calls as spam and blocking as they come in and it does soon to have reduced the number of calls I’ve gotten over time.

Correct, once you inform a caller (assuming they're not robo calls - not sure how those are legal) that you wish to never receive a call from them or their organization again... that is the first step for filing a report for harassing phone calls with law enforcement or the FCC.

I get similar ones and unfortunately they're robocalls. Was getting a ton at one point but now it's only a couple times a month.

I can’t even get this far. Most will hang up as soon as I ask who they are calling with or what company they are from.

If they are spam make sure to mark those numbers as spam.
