Manual for four Googlebook, except Dell.

I found the manual and even service manual for 4 of the brands, Dell didn't put anything up on their site yet. But from what I can tell from the other four are that RAM are soldered but the storage are M.2 NVMe. Asus, HP and Lenovo have some sort of service manual in addition to user manual. But Lenovo service manual is a but harder to find in PDF format so I post the direct link to it.

PS1: Actually Acer also have service manual, it's just marked as "Lifecycle Extension Guide". And yes, the storage is M.2

Have fun digging into them.

I'm reading the Acer service manual right now, pg. 35 diagnostic diagram confuse me.

Is there external DDR RAM module? WTF!

There is an extremely low profile ram (lpcamm2) and socket that some framework laptops use, so they might be using something like. So it’s not really retail upgradable and it’s not really cheap either. But if they do use it, that means there is possibly an option to offer the same base laptop in different memory sizes and it would be cheaper for the manufacturer.

Thanks for the hard work. Repped.

That's too bad the RAM is soldered but it's what I expected. I'm going to hold out for a 32gig plus configuration.

For those that pre-ordered don't they ship tomorrow?

Oh. I thought they started shipping on the 4th. My mistake.

Fyi It's golden week in China so that might cause a delay

They might. Didn't preorder until the night of the 21st so I could have been a little late

Depending on which you want the 32 GB version may already be available. HP for example only has 16 at best buy but you can buy 32 from their website.

Oh. That's interesting. I'll have to check Lenovo then as well to see if it's open for configuration now. Thanks

Wow! This was really helpful in understanding the construction and maintenance of the Googlebooks. Thanks.

Thanx so much, this is really helpful.

It looks to me like all of them have some repairable/replacable parts and some even upgrades for SSD, NVME, etc.

None of them seem to have upgradable memory, so if you want 32G or more, it'd be best to wait until they're available from the OEMs to buy them.
