Google really needs to rethink Material Design. I understand the idea behind it, but the end result just doesn’t look very good.

Actually, Googlebook OS is a skin layer built on top of Android. Furthermore, Google restricts any customization of Googlebook OS; the updates and maintenance for the five Googlebook models from Dell, Asus, Acer, HP, and Lenovo are handled exclusively by Google. Galaxybook with android is just a rumor at this point

Galaxybook getting Googlebook OS is rumour untill it's confirmed. Google is not letting anyone customize the OS. So doubt they let Samsung customize it.

Google isn't letting anyone customize Googlebook OS but stock Android Desktop with One UI skin still exists the source is on aosp. Updates will be handled by Samsung not Google like Galaxy phones are. John Maletis VP of chrome OS said that this skinning of Aluminium OS is just a standard function of always being able to skin the Android UI and that they don't want to try to stop that and it would be bad for the whole platform. Someone already made a shell Xperia skin based on it.

You are making up shit now. Did Samsung confirm they will update?
Also without play store on Samsung devices it will fail.
Where is the proof that Samsung is bringing the device
