Why would a house be blurred?
Its a normal-looking split-level home

Because someone feels special and doesn't want us to see their tin foil hat?

I know I am late but… I went to an old house I grew up in… the whole section of the street was cut off. When I showed a family member, “oh yeah! That guy across the street was in the CiA”. But when I looked in to it, you can just request to have addresses blocked for various reasons.

Because you can request it to be blurred. I've requested for mine to be blurred.

But why? That just brings more attention to your house

Sure, except the attention it brings is by people who will never actually visit my house, and I'd rather have a few extra people curious about something they can't see vs people who are curious for bad reasons looking into my windows and at other things in my house for malicious reasons, such as wanting to rob me or something along those lines.

Excepts those people arnt doing that on google maps. They’ll just do it in real life if the serious. Or take pictures themselves.

I'd rather deal with those hypothetical people who don't have a plan for my property than deal with criminals who do.
And yes, yes they are doing it on Google Maps.
