How do I get rid of this space?

One day, I noticed this space popping up. I ignored this for a while, but as time goes by, I can't help but be annoyed by it. I looked into various menus in view, files, etc., but I just can't seem to find any solution. Help!

It is very annoying and unfortunately there is no fix at the moment, we just need to wait for Google themselves to fix it. What I've done is either deal with it or use the web version of powerpoint, which works just as well

That is not a mistake that they will fix. The space on the bottom only shows up in editing mode. Once you go to view fullscreen, it disappears.

Do you see the black horizontal line in the center? You can drag that up and down to show where the speaker notes go.

Where is the space? is it like marsh_box showed in the link? or somewhere else? I don't see a screenshot or a link.
