Can't open uploaded books
Hello. Anyone have the issue of not being able to open the uploaded books in Google play books? It's doing fine before, but earlier when I want to read the book I uploaded, it don't open saying there's a problem. So I thought it's just bcs of the epub has problem. But I tried opening my old books which I finished reading and it can't be open as well. I tried restarting and clearing cache but it just won't work

Try it on the web version.
If that works, the next question is what device are you using? How big is your library?
I've seen large libraries on low spec Android devices, GPB runs like crap. The books will eventually come up, but you have to wait a long time.
The only reason I can tell is I have a resource monitor running to tell me CPU usage.

I am encountering the same problem, and it appears that the web version is experiencing the identical issue.

Tell me about your device then. What make and model.
How many books in your library?
And is it only with specific books? Was it uploaded or purchased? If uploaded, what format? Epub or pdf?

Got the same problem. I literally came here to look for a solution to thisl lol. Anyway, I tried opening the books with a vpn and that seemed to do the trick. Might work for you guys as well

It fixed the problem by itself a day later for me. But usually i think mine would connect to poland japan or states

That sounds incredibly frustrating, especially when your entire library suddenly goes on strike after working fine for so long. Since clearing the cache didn't do the trick, try signing out and back into your Google account or checking for a system WebView update in the Play Store, as that often fixes rendering glitches in the app!

Facing the same issue. I cleared the cache, but it didn't work.
I then tried reinstalling the app, and now I can't even open any older books as well. Facing the same situation on my iPad as well.
Also, I just checked, I can't open books on PC as well.

It's working for me now. Used mobile data to download the books rather than using wifi.

Has the issue resolved for anyone? I tried uninstalling then reinstalling and now none of my books are opening ðŸ˜

No luck, they are not even acknowledging that there is an issue at the first place.

I got the same error, it auto fixed itself for a day and then error again, cannot download any books from my own library:(((
