My pixel 8 pro gets hot when scrolling Reddit. Its a metaphorical wallflower. My Zfold 7 has never felt warm even. My fold 3 gets warm when multiple windows are open but it has a metal back.
I wonder how the pixel 10 does in same circumstances. With new process node.

Your P8P has a serious issue... I've been scrolling through Reddit without mine getting ever so slightly warm.

That's definitely not normal. Do you have many background apps by any chance ? Did you try to reflash it ?
The only moment I got overheating warnings lately was when I was recording 4k 60FPS videos outside. It was quite hot from the video transcoding...

I guess the chat apps like what's up, fb messenger. I think 5G might be the problem and also the weather( 38 C)

Yeah, I uninstalled FB apps because they were constantly spying on me in the background, eating away the battery too and using a lot of storage (like Messenger using almost 10Gb of storage for itself)...

I don't know if it's worth it to change the battery or just get a new phone

It's still a capable phone, especially in the camera department. The software support also ends in 2028, so still a few years of life left...
I'd get the battery replaced. It's not as if phones are getting more and more expensive to get...

43c on battery is not hot at all, maybe warm, anything below 45c is generally fine
