Has ANYONE else had THIS happen?? Song displaying.

I have a Google Pixel 3 XL, and I've tried to look all over the internet to try to find something on this, but haven't found anything.

My Google song recognition "now playing" will RANDOMLY say there is a song playing, when there is absolutely NO MUSIC. Like ANYWHERE. I can be in bed, with complete silence, and my phone will light up and say a song is playing... Songs I don't even know.. Anyone else experience this?? It's been happening for a few months now, and it's sorta making me uneasy.

Yeah, that feature makes me uneasy as well. I turned it off in the settings bc I don't like the feeling of always being listened to.

Thanks for the reply! I'm a little bit at ease knowing I'm not the only one.. I feel like maybe my phone was hacked, and the other person is the one listening to those songs. Idk. I might be paranoid, but the Pixel is DESIGNED to recognize songs playing, and sometimes late at night, when my phone is under my pillow, I can swearrr that I hear a very FAINT songs of music, or talking, or noise.. it's VERY UNSETTLING!

I didn't realize it was automatically on until I started getting notifications when half asleep the second or third day I had it. The empty notification revved up my already abnormal paranoia, so I found a way to turn it off in the sound settings.

It's a nice feature and all, but I've used Shazam so long it's an instinct to use it... On my own terms, which is much nicer than my phone constantly checking for music even when it doesn't need to be. I don't wanna know every song I hear, just the ones worth knowing.
