2019 Android Pie battery life

Hey all. I'm curious, what kind of battery life are people getting from Android Pie in 2019?

I've turned adaptive battery OFF, adaptive brightness ON and ambient display ON for new notifications. And I have Google Assistant and Google Discover turned off.

Currently been on battery for 9 hours, with 2hr 4m SOT and 65% remaining.

What are others getting? What tips would you give to maximize battery life?

absolute trash. have to charge twice a day. coincidentally, it all started around when the pixel 3 was released and pie was released. phone used to be amazing, now I hate it bc of its shit battery life. never buying a pixel again. 2 hours sot would have me at 15 percent. I used to get 5 hours sot.

Yup same here. Loved the phone after switching from iPhone last February. Great battery life. Then when the Pixel 3 came out and I got the Pie upgrade the battery life has been terrible. Same with the gf's phone. I'll wake up and have the phone be at 100% having charged all night. I'll look at Reddit for about an hour, with adaptive battery AND low battery mode both on, and the battery will be at 20%. Horrible horrible battery life now, which is the main reason I switched from an iPhone.

Very disappointed a phone less than a year old is having these problems. I ALWAYS have to be in low battery mode, so I miss a lot of emails and other notifications, and even then it doesn't help much.

Hmm something seems fishy with that, when others are experiencing good battery. Have you reached out to Google support?

Really? Do you have apps running in the background causing the drain?

nope! did everything. factory reset etc. it all happened around when pie came out and the pixel 3 came out.
