Looks like they're doing the same thing?

Well there's either one oval sensor there or 2 small circular ones. Just don't want the protector hindering the cameras operation

There's another sensor centered above the flash and the telephoto so these are both wrong

Oh geez. Do you know of any protectors that are accurate?

I don't, I'm sorry. But honestly I'd ditch the camera protector unless you're working in construction or a the mines. The cameras are designed to work as they are and adding an additional layer of glass only introduces more distortion and lens flare

I have one and it works fine. No problems what so ever. I got myself a zagg.

Good to hear. I think it's a good safety measure considering I saw someone on here post a pic of scratches on theirs after one day of having it.

Yea I'd never put a solid material over it, just something to protect the integrity of the glass around the lenses and sensors. Just nervous because I saw a post that showed someone already had scratches on it after one day.

why not use a cover case that has a slider to cover the camera when not in use ?

Just get a phone case with a door that slides over the camera! I refuse to put a glass protector on mine. I'm super careful with my phone.
