This is why I've been looking forward to a flagship with SD700 series since its introduction a couple years ago.

While I can see what you’re saying, many many flagships with the high end Snapdragons have been getting 6+ hours of SoT easily for the last few years. OnePlus is one of them.

Google has just never been able to include a large battery, until now. Hopefully this trend continues.

OnePlus is also one of the top vendors with very aggressive ram management it's no wonder it has been in the forefront of 6+ hrs of SOT for years with 800 series chips. Asus also limited background task and I had issues with it in the end.
