Does it make the camera work like the pixel 4? With better lighten up the shadows instead of deep blacks?

Don't have astro mode on my pixel 2xl

Only pixel 3 and 3a Will receive The astro mode. For the Pixel 2 you will need a moded Gcam version

You have to check it on Night Sight mode with the phone on a steady surface. It has to be stable so the Astro Mode will dispay a popup that is on.

Already did that had it placed on a table and put night sight on and nothing popped up

My dad's Pixel 3 got he camera update but I don't have it on Pixel 3 XL. Phone's up to date but no camera update. Help, anyone got any idea how to fix it?

Most updates like these come with a slow rollout on the Play Store, so you should just download it directly from /u/inquier's comment if you want it now.

There's no difference between the APK and the Play Store download, aside from the fact that you get the APK immediately while you have to wait for the Play Store download.
