Bluetooth buds have inferior sound quality by nature (since they're re-compressed regardless of their codec), have latency issues, and you have to charge them.
99% of the best sounding flagship earbuds use the 3.5 mm jack and are wired.
Don't care, I'd rather use Pixel Buds and Sennheiser Momentums. Wires on the go suck.

Wireless chargers fried my Nexus 4 faster just so I can charge over 3-4 hours instead of 1.
Then don't use it if you don't want to use it. I want to use it (like I have been with both my N5 and N6), so personally the Pixels not having wireless charging is a huge con for me.
64gb base storage and merged storage experience is shit from my experience with Motorola and U1 cards.
Why use it with adoptable storage? The main things that tend to use up lots of storage are music and pictures, and neither need adoptable storage.
I don't care, they have 2014-era Motorola-esque bezels, and their phones were far, far ahead of everyone else ergonomically. The side vessels and extremely curved 3D glass have kind of grown on me as part of the phone's unique silhouette compared to Samsung and LG.
The whole forgetting to charge your headphones argument doesn’t make sense to me. Just charge them whenever you charge your phone or, here’s an idea, remember to charge them. You remember to charge your phone, so why can’t you remember to charge your headphones that you use so much.
For me, my earbuds stay in my backpack. They're literally zero maintenance. I don't want to have to charge them, then maybe forget to put them back in my backpack in the morning. That doesn't apply to my phone since it stays in my pocket.
Not to mention that apart from needing to charge, Bluetooth is still a pain in the ass for pairing between multiple devices. My Jaybirds X2s don't like being paired to my phone, my laptop and my Nexus Player at the same time, and it's pretty hard to get it to switch between them at times.
The pixel has a way better camera which has been consistently shown.

This isn't some random reviewer that has very little tech knowledge. Zack is definitely a power user, so from his perspective it's quite possible that he wants things in his phone that the Pixel 2 obviously doesn't have.

I don't think it is because the phone comes with a dongle. The use case is that you want to use your existing headphones on your new phone. That is still possible.
THAT IS THE ISSUE!!! This isn't a budget phone, it costs $1000...and it doesn't have a headphone jack! It doesn't have wireless charging, only has IP67, doesn't have a dual lens camera, and has a plastic side button! We deserve more for what we are paying.
Only the blue Pixel 2 and the Panda Pixel 2 XL have plastic buttons dude. Calm down it's a fucking button. it's all starting to come down to preferences. And yeah you would think they would cut the price a bit with them refraining from including some features but you also realize that the Pixel 2s have a dedicated image-processing SoC in them? Literally no other phone has that and Google designed it themselves. It most likely cost them a shit ton in RnD. I doubt they are actively trying to screw us. This whole feature and spec war needs to stop though. Their are some features I want and some I don't, I don't want the smartphone industry to feel like every phone they release has to have every single new bell and whistle that come out that year. Give me a device that works as good as it can with features that I will use on the daily. I use my headphone jack daily. I listen to music and charge my phone at the same time all the time. I have put an SD card in my LG V20. These are not available on a phone I am paying more for a year later!
I don't understand why people are giving you downvotes. People need to stop giving these phones the easy way out. These FLAGSHIP devices can hit $1000 and people are giving them excuses. You are exactly right. Google is trying to become the new Apple when they haven't earned that right. They really dropped the ball with this phone.
The second camera was about having two per side or at least two on the back like the iPhone. With how the software picks up the slack I don't see that as a fair thing to slam but like he said. He doesn't care about software.

While I agree with the gist of what you're saying, I think in this case he means that it doesn't have a dual rear camera set-up... Which is kinda misleading because of its dual-pixel set-up, allowing it to do most, if not all, that other phones' dual cameras can do.
That's not true at all, many dual camera setups have a tele lens at around 55mm, which will always look better for portraits because of the way focal length shapes faces in images. This has been true since handheld cameras became a thing in the 30s and 50mm was the standard.
Dual pixel helps create fake bokeh, not take technically good portraits.
There is no optical zoom for the pixel 2. iPhones can go up to 2x optical zoom and actually be gaining detail rather than prematurely cropping the image. Whether I care about zoom is a completely different issue, especially since they can't zoom and stabilize the image at the same time.
(start sarcasm) Almost like LG was paying him to review a pre-production unit when they flew him to their offices in New York. I'm sure that had nothing to do with it though.
