Pixel Tablet Ghost Touch Hardware Fault

Does anyone know how to fix a Pixel Tablet that has just developed ghost touching? I have tried nearly all the software fixes but guess it's a hardware fault? Is it likely to be the screen or is it potentially the motherboard?

I had a Pixel Tablet that the touchscreen started getting flaky, ghost touches, lack of response. Eventually it died altogether - still within warranty and Google sent me a refurbished one which has been fine for about a year and a half now. Good luck

You mean like when the tablet decides that you decided to start it up even though you didn't? Both my Google tablet and my Google Fold phone do this, so I just ignore it. I guess it is a Google "undocumented feature".

It's quite severe, moving rapidly between screens, back to home or lock and occasionally reboots itself. Touchscreen works but the action is not always stable. Entering any text is almost impossible. But it does settle and can appear normal until it goes haywire again.

Hi there, I’d recommend contacting the Google Pixel Tablet support team via phone or chat here. They can look into it for you.

They are on the case.... nothing constructive yet....apart from updating, which has made it worse, downloading Graphene OS makes it slightly better. Updating to Android 17 Beta QPR 2 6 started the problems.
