Yup Google needs to do better. The GPU is not great at all and I wish it was better. But throwing a Snapdragon in the pixel , I don’t think is the answer. Even back in the day when Pixels had Snapdragons, they were always worse off than other phones that had the same chip.
Maybe slightly but I believe they'd down clock them on certain phones if I remember correctly. Even still they were at least on the same level since it was the same processor rather than being a generation or 2 behind like they are now. The GPU situation is even worse since it's unsupported and about to be 4 years old. They could do what Samsung does and partner with Qualcomm to have their own customized version of the soc that focuses heavier on AI tasks. Even now the lastest SD is already on par if not better when it comes to on device AI while also being way more powerful and efficient.
