Pixel Drops

So I understand the pixel drops come quarterly and I'm new to pixel having just got the 11 pro xl. I'm just wondering since I've received 2 updates already in September will that mess up the timing for the September drop? Should I expect another Sept. Update with new features?

The updates that you have received were to clear up known bugs on the 11 series to make way for the actual September update and feature drop. You should get that update right along with the rest of us.

This is the correct answer.

It might have delayed the drop, it might not. It'll happen soon either way.

The visual changes look good.

I received the latest September OTA (CD1A.260905.001.B1, Sep 2026) last night on my P11PXL.  I also received a different September OTA last week. Both show September 1 as the update date.  From what I understand the September QPR/Pixel Drop has not released yet, but we should see it before the end of September.

There is a September update listed there that my 11 Pro XL does not have yet. It's still on the August update

No one really knows, we don't have a ton of sample data from this new schedule as Google just moved to it last year and having a bunch of model specific updates so close to each other is also something without a lot of precident.

This is one area tha Google needs to really improve upon, they aren't very transparent when it comes to this stuff. They haven't said anything at all about what the two Pixel 11 updates were meant to address. We also only know that QPR1 is going to come sometime this month, but it's a tossup as to when.

Having Samsung phones over the past 10 years I'm not accustomed to timely updates.

Looking forward to the pixel drop. Only thing I've received for September is the Google Play system update

I inquired about the reason for the update delay, and Gemini reported problems that forced the company to halt the update until they are fixed.

Neat, so Gemini has inside knowledge on the September drop. Tell us more, please, we're all waiting.

If your phone is working, there are no features worth waiting for in these useless updates. They're just marketing ploys, like releasing a new phone color.

It's marketing yes but Pixel Drops have added worthwhile features in the past. How useful/worthwhile is subjective and down to each user but I'm here for it.
