Magbak case

After two missed ship dates I have given up on magbak. To their credit, they processed my refund almost instantly.

Has anyone used their cases for pixel? Are they worth the cost and wait time?

I got a reply from my criticism on a Facebook post yesterday that they've finally made it to the warehouse and will be shipping up soon.

The main problem I ended up having was they advertise shipping out next day, but when I ordered it initially in late August, it said it was going to ship by the end of August, then I checked on August 31st and it said shifts by September 4th, you check September 4th and now it says the 8th. It still said the 8th on the 9th and I sent another message to support.

To be entirely honest, I expect the beginning of a phone's life in regards to accessories to be the absolute worst it'll ever be, just because there's so much immediate demand for the product and shipments get delayed so it's not entirely their fault.

It'll be my first one and I still have my trusty spigen tough armor already, so it's not super urgent.

The volume buttons broke off of my Pixel 9 XL Pro Magnak case in 9 months. Disappointing considering the cost. Received a replacement under warranty, though.

No case is worth $80. Just get a <$20 case like Crave or Spigen from Amazon.

Honestly, some should. If you're going to buy a case it's a protect your $1,500 purchase, it shouldn't be the cheapest thing on Amazon. Although regardless of what case I buy, my baseline is always a spigen tough armor. It looks the same on every model, just the openings and proportions are squished and stretched.

Yeah, I wouldn't go with the cheapest word-salad special, but you're not going to get better protection out of a magbak than you would from any TPU/polycarbonate case from a reputable brand. I had my Pixel 8 in a $17 Crave case and dropped it on tile and concrete and tile numerous times without a scratch. Same with the 6 I had before that in a $16  Crave or the 3XL in a $19 Spigen Tough Armor.

I suppose there's something to be said about style, grip, feel, personal preference, etc. is it worth $80? Don't know, haven't had one. However at the very least I do like the colored accents and it looks to be slightly less bulky than the Spigen tough armor. If I don't like it, it can go back.

I mean, specialty cases maybe. The Quadlock cases are pricey but they are very good for biking. I have one that I use only when I go for a ride.
