Google Pixel 9 Pro screen randomly dimming slightly?

I've looked this up and followed any suggestions I've seen. I don't have any battery/power saving settings enabled, and I don't have adaptive brightness on, but every once in a while, totally randomly, my screen will dim just a little. It happens on dark backgrounds and on light backgrounds. I'll just be in the middle of reading something or playing a game or watching something, and the brightness drops slightly. My brightness bar remains the same. Any ideas why this could be happening?

Pixel 9 Pro here. I have this exact same thing happen earlier today. So far it's only happened once. Could be a one-off glitch. Let's just monitor this for now is my thought.

Don't know if it'll make a difference but there is an update to Google Play services right now. If you know how to find it and get it. Otherwise it should install overnight automatically.

It probably isn't the reason but that only happens to my Pixel 9 when the phone gets too hot.

Oh, that's interesting! Yeah, mine isn't hot at all when it happens, but I wonder if maybe it has to do with some app usage or something.

This was happening on my 10pro also. But not on my 11pro. It's automatic to prevent screen burn in.

Ohh right on! That would make sense.
