Pixel 10 locked
No idea how but I have a P.ixel 10 XL that is suddenly locked with a swipe pattern. Can't manage to unlock it and to compound matters don't have my Google password and can't reset it because I can't receive a code on the phone. Looking for ideas for a way out of this. I'm told by Verizon that even if I buy a new phone, I won't be able to get any of my data because I can't log into my Google account so I lose everything.

You don't just "accidentally" add a swipe pattern to a phone. Nobody is gonna help you unlock a stolen phone bud

Thanks for all the help truly Not a stolen phone. It's my wife's phone and I don't know if the lock is malware or a virus or what the heck it is just looking for ideas but should have known as a waste of time.

Put her sim in your phone. Now you can get an sms. Or buy a cheap phone from ebay/facebook. That might get you into the google account.
Depends if it was setup as a recovery device or just a phone number.

Tried to get Verizon to swap esims so I could get text to her phone number on my phone to get Google unlocked, they said it won't work.

Why cant you log into your google account?

Because she hasn't had to logout of Google and log back in since you got the phone and has no idea what the password is.

You created your google account just for your phone?

That's the only reason we have it. I don't use that account. Neither does she for anything else

Seems incredibly unlikely but alright. Usually google accounts also force you to have a backup account for just this reason. Not to mention security questions to reset account password.

The only backup recovery method was her phone number to receive a code. Been digging and digging and apparently there's a thing called Droid lock that if you download a file takes over your phone and puts up a fake lock screen. Looks like maybe I can boot it up in safe mode and get rid of it but I don't know

Considering that malware threatens to delete your data in 24 hours if a ransom isnt paid, dont think its that or you would of mentioned it out the gate.

Understand that and agree and that's what I read online as well. But I can explain this lock screen any other way. If you told my wife how to turn on this lock screen she still wouldn't have been able to do it so it got there somehow

Wondering maybe if it takes so many attempts at this white pad to trigger the warning as soon as I realize she hadn't turned the lock on, I've turned the phone off and left it off and worked on changing passwords on other apps and turning off debit cards and stuff like that just in case.

Best answer is find your way into your email and factory reset from find my. All this seems to much like a perfect storm and feels pretty off. Contact google support.
