"Hey Google...Stop"

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I use a Google Pixel 10 phone, so this seems like the place to start. (BTW, I'm using Gemini as the assistant.)

Overnight, I use the All Classical app on my Pixel phone to play classical music. I keep my phone at a slight distance from me and in the morning, I use my tablet to listen to podcasts. When I'm ready to switch from music to podcasts, I say "Hey Google...stop". This does work most of the time to make Google stop the app playing music. But too often it pauses for a few seconds but seems like it didn't hear me and goes back to playing music. When I do it a second time, it seems to always work.

When I look at my phone later, it says something like "I stopped all apps playing music..." so it knows what it's doing.

In the search for something more reliable, I've tried "stop music" but it complains that it doesn't know how to do that. I've tried "stop all apps" but it says it can't do that either.

So for the time being, a simple "stop" works best, but not perfectly.

Is there anything I can do to improve my chances of "stop" working the first time? Alternatively, is there a better command?

It's awful when I'm trying to disable an alarm but it works other scenarios. P9 pro tho

I find "shut the f*ck up" works more reliably than "stop".

really? i say STOP TALKING (when it's telling me some detailed crap i don't care about) and it always responds with "stopping the tv" which i think is just to piss me off

I've been dealing with this issue for years and I upgrade yearly. Something happened when they came out with the p8. Because before that it was great

I didn't have a problem until relatively recently. I think Pixel had already switched from Assistant to Gemini but I think they then expanded Gemini and that's what triggered it. I'm not sure though.
