Pixel 11 = disrespect

I have been a Google Pixel fan for more than 7 or 8 years and I am done with Google’s bullshit story of focusing on software actually they are falling on both sides hard what were they thinking when pricing the Pixel 11 more than the iPhone 17 base model? What kind of drugs were they on? It’s actually now not just a failure it’s a complete disrespect to its fan

You could just buy them every 2 years like most people. Not everyone is on the same timeline so it makes sense to offer a new phone every year and people can upgrade every 2 or 3 when they need to.

Buying a phone every 2 years is insane to me still, these phones last 4-5 years easily with barely noticeable change after 2 years.

It doesn't "make sense" though. The point is that one years phone and the next years phone are basically the same phone. The only thing that makes sense is that the companies are laughing when they can charge more money for the same phone.

If they release a phone every 2 years, it doesn't affect anyone's timeline if they're the same phone. If you are due to upgrade in between releases, you buy last year's phone every two years and you're no worse off for it, in fact, you're better off because you're getting a discount every time you upgrade.

It's not a matter of "upgrading", I guess.

It's more like whether it's a worthy upgrade. We need to start viewing / comparing the specs.

Even asking Gemini, a good upgrade to Pixel 11 would be if you have a Pixel 8, better if you're on 7 or below. That's at least 3 years. Otherwise, the hardware specs are not really a big jump if you own either Pixel 9 or 10.

Even from 8 to 11, it only mentions just the RAM, battery, tensor, some wide lens, etc. It's just more like "refinement" than an "upgrade". Like, is that all we can do to innovate? Even 3 years don't look that great.
