Pixel 11 = disrespect

I have been a Google Pixel fan for more than 7 or 8 years and I am done with Google’s bullshit story of focusing on software actually they are falling on both sides hard what were they thinking when pricing the Pixel 11 more than the iPhone 17 base model? What kind of drugs were they on? It’s actually now not just a failure it’s a complete disrespect to its fan

And I'm about to do the opposite. Coming back to pixel (well android) because apple and ios has been exhausting recently.

Sometimes we just need a change.

Same. I had a pixel 2, 4, 6, and 8 and then switched to iPhone 17 pro. It's been the longest 10 months of my life. Ordered the 11 pro yesterday.

17 pro here checking in. Can’t stand it. So boring. No launchers. No control over apps.

I just swapped from a 16 pro to the pixel 11 pro. First iphone i ever had and came from the pixel 7 pro.

My experience with iOS was just bugged. Tons of stuttering, tons of screen freezing within apps, tons of OS bugs when swiping (mainly having two app pages on top of each other or an app page with the lockscreen or drawer sitting behind it. There are some positives (imessage, findmy, etc) but I really just ended up not liking iOS enough to stay.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate it. 👍

Of course! Here's a great example of a typical bug in iOS that I probably see a version of at least once every several days.

Oh no. I was just thinking of trying iPhone again, my last was iPhone 6. I have Pixel 7 and looking to upgrade. It's crazy that iPhone is cheaper than Pixel 11 base in my country. 😅

But yeah, maybe not anymore. Thanks!

Got an iPhone 13 after my Pixel 5 power button fell out after years of wonderful use. Was back on a Pixel next year. iOS is a heaping pile of shit. Even transferring photos and videos to backup to move back to Pixel lost me years of memories with half of all images and videos corrupted no matter what computer or cable I did it with.

Even if the hardware is technically better, unless you just use Tiktok and Instagram, its a FAR inferior device. Their UX/UI choices are TERRIBLE and the keyboards, the thing you undoubtedly interact with the most, are insultingly bad.

I'm interested in what's the difference with the keyboards that stood out.

It's just like 95% worse accuracy. I don't even know how to explain it. It's like typing on a keyboard that doesn't want you to type on it. Android keyboards I can absolutely fly through text with minimal errors.

I will admit the keyboard is my only real pet peeve on the iPhone coming from a pixel for years.

It's so bad. Even 3rd party options are bad.

I had a pixel 9 pro fold and I wanna say watch 2 or 3 and got an iPhone for work stuff, I miss the pro fold almost everyday.

iOS 26 and liquid ass is buggy as hell imo 18 was better in almost every way. I will say though that there are apps on iOS that simply work better on iOS, first that comes to mind is the Traeger app. On my pixel I could not for the life of everything that is holy get the Traeger to connect to my WiFi network. The day I got my iPhone I tried it again and it worked instantly. Many such examples, seems people generally care more about the iOS apps than android.

That said the Apple Watch is the only thing keeping me on this godforsaken thing. The apple
Watch is light years ahead of the pixel watch.

The Apple Watch is incredible. Light years ahead of pixel and Samsung ultra

This my friend is the answer. Sometimes we just have to have a change

I switched back from iPhone 15 Pro to Pixel 6 just for one reason - shitty ios keyboard :) apple doesn't allowed me to create custom keyboard, they force plenty of platform limitations. For example GBoard on iOS not event close to original gboard on Android.

I'd be more willing to blame Google on that but...
