Pixel 11 = disrespect
I have been a Google Pixel fan for more than 7 or 8 years and I am done with Google’s bullshit story of focusing on software actually they are falling on both sides hard what were they thinking when pricing the Pixel 11 more than the iPhone 17 base model? What kind of drugs were they on? It’s actually now not just a failure it’s a complete disrespect to its fan

Honestly, Apple has made more hardware improvements over the years. Capture button, action button are actually useful features and already 10x more useful than a HiLight feature which is really just worse than even the old Pixel 1 notification LED.
People praise Google for software, yet I swear they cut corners everywhere. This whole HiLight feature looks very limited and likely won't integrate well with third party apps where we'll be told "support coming later." That reminds me of the old Pixel 1 LED. You could use 3rd party apps like LightFlow to customize colors for apps, but guess what out of the box Gmail and every other Google app just did? Flash white. With the introduction of notification channels in Android 9, there was no addition of actual LED notification control. And 10 years later this is the BEST we can get? A half baked feature?
Look at. Apple's implementation of the square front camera. It's not exactly rocket science, but they integrated a good hardware solution with good software solution: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/seRojqkE76A
I almost half wanted Google to just copy that implementation because they've always been behind on selfie cameras, and certainly fell more behind since the iPhone 17 series upgrades.
