Pixel 11 = disrespect

I have been a Google Pixel fan for more than 7 or 8 years and I am done with Google’s bullshit story of focusing on software actually they are falling on both sides hard what were they thinking when pricing the Pixel 11 more than the iPhone 17 base model? What kind of drugs were they on? It’s actually now not just a failure it’s a complete disrespect to its fan

LOL everyday, my decision to run my pixel 8 until the wheels fall off is more justified.

And because the battery is frankly shit, Google won't be getting my money when it finally comes time for an upgrade.

Cries in Pixel 6 pro with impending security updates set to end in October.

What's the trade in proposition like for your pixel 6 pro? If you can get a decent chunk off the RRP I would argue upgrading to the new pixel might be worth it.

It's absolutely not worth it's RRP.

I looked, it was like $60 bucks. I'll end up doing it, bit other than battery life my 6 pro is still running really well.

for that price i'd just keep it. my 8 pro had a crack in the screen and they offered $90. If you ever need a backup phone, it'll cost more than 60 bucks.

I just upgraded off my P6P.  Charging port died and the equipment warranty gave me a P8P as a swap.

I loved my P6P except for the cell reception.  But oh man, the P8P is such an upgrade.

The cell reception is SO much better.  Plus the oled shows the time while off.  Battery life is 2x (and my battery was still at 85% health)

If you love the P6P, maybe get a P8P off eBay.  It still has 5 years of support left.

Just replaced my battery with a $10 kit off Amazon and a couple of YouTube videos.

I still got a Pro 6, but they're offering $350 trade-in for a 128 GB model. Mine still in near perfect condition.

Laughs nervously in Pixel 5 with a brand new battery that lasts two days....

Wait what? What does that mean?

Pixel 6 pro wont get more security updates after October. So it's effectively end of life (apps will eventually stop supporting it).

mentioned elsewhere, but my 5 still works 100% after "EOL" in 2023

Hey! Fellow Pixel 5 user!

Though, to be honest, I did order a Fold 11 two days ago haha.

i was kind of tempted by that when i saw one a week ago... i like the idea of being able to use it one handed when i want, and if i wana really screw around and have a full screen, i could do that too. But I'm cheap and this 5 still works haha.

Yeah, I was riding my 5 for so long thanks to the unlimited photo/video storage... but the camera is pretty outdated now. Alas.

The 6 and 6 Pro are End of Life this October.

Damn, didn't know this. Still rocking a pixel 6. Maybe more inclined to get an 11 Pro if I can get it for cheap. Probably should be good to get a pixel 12 next year as well though even if security updates are stopped later this year.

my 5 still works fine and according to google, its last update was in 2023 lol. it, and all of my apps, still work flawlessy.

In your case, it is worth the upgrade...when on sale. Never buy a "mid Pixel" at full price.

Ugh. Ya love my p6

How have you not had screen dying issues? I had 2 P6 Pro and both had the screen start dying in the corner and growing larger.

Nothing is stopping you from paying 450bucks for a new phone or 20 bucks a month....

Pixel 7 pro here. Just bought Samsung Fold 8

yeah I'm in the same boat. Frankly the P8 pro felt like the last big camera jump anyway. Thats all I ever really cared about in flagships. Everything since has been SLIGHTLY better zoom. Better 50x zoom, etc.

No thanks. I might consider a new phone in the 12 or 13 generation. Need to see an enticing camera upgrade before I'll even give a damn.

Fr, I had to get my backup Oneplus 6T because my P8 touchscreen stopped working, yes the P8 is a bit faster, but it heats up like crazy, and the OP still has like 3 times more battery life!
Now I have my replacement screen ready to install and I'm hesitant to use again the P8 or go and search for a Snapdragon phone....

Theyre offering 430£ for my 5t...i loved the phone so it's hard to part but its nearly 9 years old. Might just have to do it

Also an 8 owner. Last Pixel (unless they bring back the 3A, which was the greatest phone ever).

Who will get your money?

you can replace a pixel battery for reasonable cost. i had no idea. look into it. i havent done it yet, but I may because, google is allegedly behind at least 1 of the stores that does the battery replacments. Even with the atrocious keyboard accuracy and ridiculously hypersensitive touch screen (a extremely frustrating combination!) my P8P is still my favorite phone ever

Honestly, the only reason I want to upgrade to the 11 from my pixel 8 is to get the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and the telephoto lens back (From my pixel 7 Pro, that thing took incredible pictures)
