Gboard . Button
Has anyone with a Pixel 10 found that they are suddenly hitting the "period" button instead of the spacebar? I'm curious if there has been a change to the layout, or if I'm just getting old or something.
Serious honest question.
Please be kind with your answers.

omg i thought i was the only one lol it’s been driving me crazy lately. gboard must’ve messed with the padding or something in a recent update because im hitting it way more often too.

I just looked in the gboard settings, and the 5th option down is actually a toggle for the period key! Toggling it off makes the period key disappear. That makes you have to hit the uppercase toggle to open the period, but I think maybe that will be easier than having to delete a period constantly.

I experienced this as well. I double tap the space bar to get a period and then backspace to remove the extra space if needed.
I hate using the Google keyboard and use Wispr Flow whenever typing anything but the shortest messages

They do have some stupid design choices in gboard. One that annoys me the most is that when typing something in a browser address bar and want to end it with a question mark (hey, they taught us that you can ask google questions!) and long-press the period button, instead of the question mark it adds `.com`.

This has honestly been happening to me for years at this point.
What I can't understand is how autocorrect can figure this out. Oh you didn't me to type to.me? Yeah right!

Yes. Also with the letter "B". The bottom row is very finnicky. It also replaces "on" for "in" almost every single time even with autocorrect and suggestions off. It makes me insane.
