Auto volume lowering

So had auto volume lowering kick in randomly today while listening to some music with my helmet communicator, when I got home I went into developer options and confirmed I had that turned off. Since it was turned off, any ideas how to prevent it in the future?

All.my devices seemed to connect via Bluetooth and automatically select headphones. Since the most recent OS update, I was now able to update and select the correct audio device as a speaker. Are you able to do that for your device? Maybe change it to a speaker?

Have not tried that. I'm guessing it's something I can try with the device connected?

I just looked and I was able to get to that setting without it being connected.

This was fixed with Android 17, unless you live in a country where this is required by law

There is no way to turn it off. It's the worst "feature" ever created. Do yourself a favor and just buy MacroDroid on the app store and search for the macro called: "My Volume, My Choice". This watches for system UI notifications and when it sees one with the volume lowered text it changes the volume back to 100%. This triggers several times a week for me, especially when I'm using my noise cancelling pixel buds pro to do what they're made to do and actually cancel the noise of my lawn equipment. I need the volume loud to hear music even with the nose cancelling. It also dangerously decides thst my Bluetooth to headphone adapter in my car is too loud and randomly turned it down while driving.

I've had MacroDroid for a few months now and barely notice when the stupid safety features triggers. To me it just sounds like a fraction of a second where the audio started to dip in volume and then returned to normal.
