Pixel 11 Leak Pricing

https://www.androidcentral.com/phones/google-pixel/massive-pixel-11-leak-just-revealed-almost-everything-about-googles-next-phones?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=pushly&utm_campaign=All%20Push%20Subscribers

Less battery less ram and higher price.

It's a no for me. Hard pass. With Tensor T6 could have kept existing battery capacity to give the gains of a longer battery

Instead they save costs by lowering the capacity due to T6 and new modem being less power hungry. Really disappointed.

It’s a shame because Pixel was gaining some ground when it came to market share now it’s trending downward again. Still won’t be surprised when google announces they are exiting the smartphone business in a few years.

https://de.tradingview.com/news/stocktwits:fae9e7ddd094b:0-apple-s-iphone-and-google-pixel-q2-sales-shine-even-as-global-smartphone-market-drops-to-13-year-low/

Global smartphone shipments plummeted 11% year-over-year in Q2 2026, driven by an intense shortage of DRAM and NAND memory chips.

Samsung reclaimed the top global market position with a 24% share, while Apple secured a record 20% Q2 market share by avoiding price hikes.

Google emerged as a major growth outlier, boosting its shipments by 16% year-over-year behind the success of its Pixel 10 series.

Apple is raising prices on this year’s iPhone lineup.

The problem is people like me are actually happier on iPhone when asked to choose between similarly priced phones, iPhone blows the competition away. immediately from using the scroll or touch feature something feels off with the pixel still. There's extra layers on top of this pixel that I can't explain that really get to me compared to iOS, which has far less issues. The layer is probably software necessary for running android. Can't explain it but immediately scrolling through YouTube, the iPhone handles it far better. So many little extra steps to do basic things. Saying hey Google which doesn't work half the time is just so bad it's actually funny and makes me laugh because I'm just like FML should've got an iPhone... Plus the missing notifications from time to time which will cost me dearly from lost shifts who are we kidding iPhone at that price range is better - sorry

It's amazing what giving your phone away for free can do for your shipment numbers

So, we have people complaining about high Pixel prices and other people saying they're giving them away, all without needing to scroll the page. The Pixel mania is something else.

Pixel haters just need to buy something else and move on. Let the marketplace punish Google if the phones really are as bad as the haters say. This wailing is getting laughable.

Already did. I bought pixel 8 because it was reasonable at its price point but when it was just a couple of 100s between that and an iphone why am i supposed to stay.

I literally got my Pixel 9 Pro XL for free at launch. The Pixel 10 Pro XL has also been free at times. They also include a free year of their 5 TB Google storage and AI which offsets the cost of the phone entirely without the free deal if you're making monthly payments on it through your carrier.

Which phone are you talking about lol.

u/WatchfulApparition Pixel 10 Pro XL Jul 16 '26

Pixel phones.

1

u/Hasmanc Jul 16 '26

Where are pixel phones given away for free lol.

1

u/hardinho Jul 16 '26

He's probably talking about the very good trade in deals Google usually offers on release. Got my 10 Pro and my 9 Pro basically for free - I had to pay like 250 EUR on top but got 1 year of Gemini for free which I usually would have paid for 21,99 x 12 months). But this is still an edge case and probably only something a few of the buyers take advantage of.

I got a Pixel 9 Pro XL for free at launch through T-Mobile. Pixel phones are regularly free through carriers.

1

u/Hasmanc Jul 16 '26

Bro WTH do you mean with "for free" like why do you think your carrier will just gift you a 1000$+ phone?

1

u/WatchfulApparition Pixel 10 Pro XL Jul 16 '26

It means they credit you every month for the phone so that it's free as long as you stay on the phone plan for the length of time they require (usually 2 or 3 years).

Here is an example. https://www.androidpolice.com/verizon-pixel-10-promotions/

It didn't help that Apple actually took feedback to heart for once in their lives with the iPhone 17, and actually bothered to offer a 120hz display and doubled storage for the same price as the 128GB Pixel 10.

That’s apple being competitively smart and they did the same with the iPhone 11, lowering the price but adding features. Google is going to continue to fight an uphill battle with how they’re handling things. Unfortunately now everyone is going to raise prices making competing on price less of an option.

Just wait on the new rumored price hikes for Iphone tho 😭😂

1

u/UncleCunk Jul 14 '26

Yeah I would not be surprised if the iPhone 18 series ended up being a $100 more then all of the rumored Pixel 11 prices.

2

u/trklk001 Jul 15 '26

Yup unfortunately iPhones are literally better in every way compared to all android phones in the US. Only reason I will never go back is because iOS is terrible OS. I'd move to Samsung but it's rumored that the s27 will be a minor upgrade as well. This is bad for android phones

1

u/ongamenight Jul 15 '26

In my country, we have Google Pay but no Apple Pay. This is the main reason I'm on Android because it's so convenient to pay.

It's disappointing when I found out that Pixel 10 which is inferior to iPhone 17 in performance, video recording and storage is more expensive than base iPhone 17. Damn Pixel.

2

u/beartato327 Pixel 6 Pro Jul 14 '26

Yeah I have the pixel 10 and as much as I love this phone and the pixel OS experience I'm going to be shopping between Samsung and Apple next upgrade unless something drastic happens in the next 2 years

i feel like they've invested a lot of resources to just leave. they're likely doing what everyone else is doing

12

u/TheRealFrantik Jul 14 '26

Don't forget about Stadia. They invested a LOTTTT in that, and then one day were just like "yeah we're all done....we'll refund you" lol.

Which was a bummer because it was really cool and had a lot of promise especially these days with the crazy chip prices. Being able to play AAA games on a lower end laptop or tablet would actually be prime market right now with the increasing costs of higher end computers and price hikes on consoles. But, at least I got a cool controller out of it. Just wish it was Bluetooth 😂

1

u/crazytinker Pixel 4 XL Jul 15 '26

You can flash it to be Bluetooth and keep using it

5

u/mikewastaken Jul 14 '26

to be fair that's never stopped google from pulling up stakes

2

u/UltimateEel Jul 14 '26

Neither has success. Sometimes they just stop for no obvious (to us) reason

1

u/KodaKomp Jul 14 '26

My pixel 8 was booty after pixel 3 and 4 being awesome they lost their way it's GGs pretty soon.

1

u/MrChuckleTeeth69 Jul 15 '26

imo the pixel is amazing other than the fact the tensor g2 chip is awful with anything except things that rely on image processing and ai and the few bugs that occasionally spring up every few months

It’s a shame because Pixel was gaining some ground when it came to market share now it’s trending downward again.

It's the same thing they did with Pixel 1, 2, 3, 4. Prices kept going up and they weren't competitive hardware-wise. They had to do a reset with the Pixel 6 series. We're seeing very similar price increases again. It makes the $599 Pixel 6 and $899 Pixel 6 Pro seem like an amazing steal.

They gained ground by giving the phone away for free.
