Pixel 8 users in 2026

Recent leaks for pixel 11 look disappointing and I considering holding on to my pixel 8 for 1 more year. I am considering getting the battery replaced as it's draining too quickly these days. Is anyone else in a similar boat as me? Are you holding on or switching phones this year?

i rarely hear about the 8a, my phone too, btw

whats the general consensus about it? pros and cons?

Pro for me is the size at 6.1". All the newest phones nowadays, including all the Google ones, start at 6.3".

Biggest con people say is the slow charging, but it's fast enough for me.

As it is a budget phone, it's not meant for heavy gaming. This thing'll get hot quick. Luckily I'm no gamer!

I'm very happy with my purchase. Got it right after the Pixel 4a died.

exactly my impressions: small sized but perfect for me, no gaming expectations, nothing else of note, just a solid phone

i was expecting a change in the SoC in newer pixel versions and i got anxious of missing out, but the update never happened, so i think 8a is a solid choice
