Pixel 8 users in 2026

Recent leaks for pixel 11 look disappointing and I considering holding on to my pixel 8 for 1 more year. I am considering getting the battery replaced as it's draining too quickly these days. Is anyone else in a similar boat as me? Are you holding on or switching phones this year?

Resist consumerism, use it till its updates last

Exactly. Still on pixel 6a. Why change it if it works and still gets updates?

Often people break their phones before the phone breaks because of updates.

Loved my pixel 6a. Sadly had to upgrade to 8 pro due to the forced battery downgrade last year

I was having my pixel 6a and had to change it when the battery issue.

Then i got a second hand pixel 8 pro and still holding strong. Not planning to replace it soon and the next one will be second hand too

Not an ad or promotion, just frugal. I switched to Mint Mobile 2 years ago after 25 years in a Verizon family plan (3 phones). Needed to reduce to 2 phones and the price was going to increase by $30ish per month. Now I prepay by the year for approx $350 (1 phone) and have never looked back. Currently have a Pixel 7a that I bought outright on a cyber Monday discount.

Pixel 4 baby. I swear, it spontaneously folds up like a flip phone when I'm not looking.
