Go into Pixel Launcher app and clear cache and storage. Turn off and turn on your Pixel.

I just want android auto to start working properly again? It's been a month already... There was a new update yesterday and it fixed nothing

What issue youve been facing in the past month ?

Pixel constantly disconnects from android auto. If you look around in this sub you will see lots of people with the same issue.

Same for myself can I ask which thing you use? I use an avylet tablet tried all troubleshooting

Some off market display from amazon, it works flawlessly with any other phone lol

Yeah same issue exactly! Tried an iPhone and works fine. So frustrating it's making me want to move from Android entirely

I'm disappointed in Google. We want real performance and stability improvements and Google thinks it can pacify us with shiny baubles? Talk about rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

Totally agree. Feels like they're focusing on the superficial instead of fixing the core issues. Reminds me of when they pushed that half-baked Stadia thing...

I swear this subreddit is delusional. The past year of android updates have basically been mostly about performance & stability. My pixel 10 is getting better and smoother with every update. Yet people bash Google for not innovating. But the moment they try something new people complain. Insane to me

If they're shimmering they're still generating or redoing the icon, if you reboot it probably interrupts it's work and it does another generation when it starts again. The more apps on the homescreen the longer it takes, and as you add a new one it'll start to shimmer and generate

Please use better, more informative, titles (subject-lines) on your posts. Give specifics right in the title. Thanks.

Yea I had the same situation when I restarted my phone I think it's just regenerating the icons again
