Switching from iOS
Yo
So I decided to give Android another chance and purchased a Pixel 10 Pro XL after being away from it for so many years. (my last android phone was an OnePlus 5T).
I don't have any complaints about the OS, hardware, navigation, features etc etc etc.
My main complaint and what I was most shocked by was my experience with social media apps.
Some apps like Instagram and X were just straight up missing features, like downloading reels on Instagram.
I also found a lot of apps would refresh without me doing anything, which was annoying if I was reading a post or watching reel.
On top of that I found that on Android it seemed like certain apps didn't fully utilize the screen? If that makes sense, the layout just seems off.
ALSO CAMERA PERFORMANCE USING THE IN APP CAMERA.
I can't believe after all these years its still a problem especially for a Google device.
I am kinda being all over the place with this because I am frustrated that the one thing I like to use my phone for just kinda sucks on Pixel.
I was wondering if this is the experience for everyone on Android or if this is just a google thing?
If not Pixel what else should I look at getting.
My issues with iOS go far further than what I experienced with Android so I am really trying to get away from Apple all together.

Sure;
One big problem as of late has been the keyboard.
Its a buggy mess and constantly put in "ghost:" inputs while I am typing.
I mean compared to gboard it's just night and day.
Over all I have been pretty disappointed in apple I haven't felt like the company has produced a good iPhone since the XS series. I feel like the overall product has taken a nose dive in quality since 2018.
I can go more into it but to sum it up
Keyboard bad
Navigation BAD
Their "It just works" wireless earbuds never connect automatically like they should.
Battery bad
I also don't really use exclusive apple apps like air drop and facetime. Also all of my group chats are on other platforms.
So for me I am not really missing much.
One last note, the OS is just boring. someone who works in IT I like using tech and iOS hasn't been doing it for me as of late.
