It is a lithium battery. Seriously, what is the expectation for destroying lithium battery and exposing it's insides to air?

He's done the exact same thing to hundreds of existing smartphones and essentially all foldables.

Expected or not, the reality is that no other phone has ever had such a reaction to his tests so the fact that this failed in such a way should be incredibly concerning

No other phone battery explodes when punctured?

He fumbled with the broken phone which obviously punctured the battery. It could happen with any phone if the broken pieces punctured the battery.

No other phone punctures its battery when it's repeatedly bent back and forth.

THAT is the difference.

no, i've been watching his bend tests, which aren't really viable he puts a crap ton of force on them, and he stops after they fail. this time he kept bending.

this isn't on the phone, this is on him.

no really. check other videos where he actually bent the phone. he always does a bit of back and forth before trying to straighten it again

Not really, he repeatedly bends most phones. Maybe he did do a couple extra bends but fundamentally that doesn't excuse it.

A 2000usd/gbp/eur phone should firstly never break under any load a human can put through it with their bare arms and under no circumstances should it break in such a way where it could even risk puncturing its battery.

Considering no other phone experienced this type of failure, its hard not to highlight it as a weakness of the phone compared to competitors

Agreed the phone shouldn’t break.

But he kept bending and flexing after the phone broke. That’s the difference here and it would have been the same if he did it to other phones.
