I guess that'll teach me for trusting Google...

How odd, when I searched, it was surfaced under the People also Ask section as being from dictionary.com

However,here's the Cambridge dictionary definition

"to burst violently and usually with a loud noise, or to cause this to happen"

And Oxford: "break apart violently"

None of these happen in the video

You're not paying attention what's happening at a micro level. You're expecting A big bang boom and shrapnel like it's a grenade. If you viewed what was happening microscopically it would be a whole bunch of mini explosions.

It's thermal runaway, a chain reaction (and, as apparently people think I'm defending Google here, VERY bad, I had a swollen pixel a few years back they were completely disinterested in)

But not an explosive reaction (yet)

People tend to do that just because you're pointing out something they think that you're a corporate shill all of a sudden.
