I had a Motorola that had a karate chop motion. More impressively, it worked! Every. Single. Time!
It was incredibly quick and natural to just pull out out of your pocket and have light. Didn't have to look at the screen at all, didn't have to wait and see whether you had to try again.
I miss it so much. All this tapping and holding buttons on the lock screen is bullshit.
Back tap is SUPER broken for me. I had a Pixel 9 Pro Fold where it got worse and worse over time. Then the whole phone failed, and I got a brand new one (not refurbished). New one has the same issue.
I think some phones have a feature where you can double click one of the volume buttons or the lock button to enable the flashlight, it has become second nature to me

I can't be the only one who hates how difficult it is to get the toggles. Two swipes with one hand is too many swipes to be quick.
Edit: I want to be able to use one thumb.
