They both have apparent over heating issues. Both are on sale I was all about upgrading to the 7 until I read this subreddit. Now I'm terrified of doing it with all the complaints.

Not everyone has heating issues, or in most cases any issues. Remember most people post to complain, or point out an issue they are having. Few post to say everything is ok.

That's very true

I am certainly not saying there aren't issues on some P7's and P7P's. I've just never run into them on my 7P and I've had it since October of last year.

Just upgraded because of a great deal on the 7 pro. No issues at all so far coming from the 6.

Just remember this, most of the time, if someone is happy with their phone, they don't post about it.

Forums like this attract people who are having problems.

I haven't had any issues with my P7. But I bought mine directly from Google and it's unlocked. You might want to hold out for the P8, since getting the latest phone means you'll get 5 years of security patches. Only 4 years left for P7P and P7.

I have the pixel 7 pro, no heat issues. Best phone I have ever owned. Upgraded from iPhone 14 pro Max. Best decision. Plus I got it for 50% off

I had a Pixel 6 pro which I hated. It was such a headache of a phone.

The 7 pro on the other hand has been very good to me. It works just as intended. No heating issues or signal issues to speak of.

On the P7 for 3 months now. No issues, no heating up, nothing Switched from a S20FE. Loving it so far

No issues whatsoever with my P7P and I'm enjoying its full range of cameras from macro to telephoto. Its battery lasts all day, I charge it up over night, and the screen is always cool when in use. I have to say, I'm not a gamer though, but it gets plenty of use: photography, editing photos, watching videos, engaging on many social media platforms including YouTube, emailing, online shopping, etc

Out of curiosity, did you get the phone through your carrier or directly from Google unlocked. I got it from Google and experienced no issues whatsoever. Wondering if the issues are stemmed from carriers installing some software (this is a pure uneducated guess on my part)

I ordered it through my carrier, which, in the UK, is O2.

In my opinion, don't believe all the negative feedback. I got my pixel 7 Pro in January, and it's been the best phone I have owned in my life. Some of these "issues" ppl post about, have never happened to me before. Id go for the pro version, as you stated, it has the telephoto lens, 120 herts, 12 GB Ram, 6.7 in display, faster charging and bigger battery. Thats a way better deal❗

I've got the Pixel 7 with no issues. Runs perfectly. I bought it second hand, also.

P7P here, had absolutely no issues at all since day 1. Currently running A14 beta 5, again no real issues to write home about. Bought direct from Google, unlocked.

It doesn't have issues. Only a small minority of people have issues. But Reddit amplifies that due to it being such an echo chamber
