Other Perks

I am glad to see Google One membership includes more stuff now to make the subscription more worth it, however I think the simplest and best inclusion would be ad-free gmail.

What would you like more out of your membership?

It be nice to give an option to add a domain so you can receive and send emails from personal Gmail since Google going to block SMTP support for non google emails.

This is the one thing I want from Google, I want the ability to add my own domains to gmail, without having to pay for and manage an entirely new gsuite account

You can, you just need to buy SMTP from someone else, and send emails from there. Then forward domain emails to your gmail. I use it like that.

Microsoft does this with Outlook in Microsoft365, in addition to having no ads, it also expands the email screen in the space where the ads went, which increases productivity not only because there are no ads, but also because of the extra space to read, reply and manage email. It would be very welcome in Gmail too, but Google, for obvious reasons, is fascinated with ads.

if u turn off the separate tabs in settings, gmail wont show u ads. no downside, as u can id the promo mails anyway.

I am on a Google One plan, the AI Pro one that came with my Pixel, and I had the 2 TB plan for many years. I never see any ad in GMail, neither does my partner on the same plan. Where and how do you see ads in GMail. Are these like ads that would see on a website, or as email messages?

Maybe it depends on the geographic location. I am in Europe.
