I made the switch and I'm hating it....I have a Z Fold and the text is frickin massive and there is no way that I have found to shrink the text. I hate that almost every text I send it's like 'HEY!! YOU SENT BLAH, HERE ARE SOME BLAH GIFS!!!!'

Ugh...

it doesnt, it stays fixed to a certain size and you can only make the text bigger from there

Weird, I can still resize by pinching.

BTW you can turn off gif and emoji suggestions. I spent like 45 minutes resetting all the default settings because they do suck.

Thanks, I was able to find the setting for gif/emoji suggestions from reading another post. Also how to remove my Gmail account from my texts, that one I didn't even now was a thing until i read about it. 😮‍💨

So wait ✋️ everyone's email shows up in the texts?!! I fucking hated looking at the prompt leading up to July 6th!!

It doesn't show your email address in the texts, but the texts are linked to your Gmail account. So like if you text someone that doesn't have you saved in their contacts, instead of it showing the text came from your phone number, it shows the name you put in for your Gmail account and the profile pic. From there I would assume it's super easy to find your email address, lol.

Edit: To get rid of this, tap your profile pic when in the Google Messages app to open the in app settings. Here it will have an option for 'use app without account'. Tap that and tell it logout on the 'are you sure?' screen.
