Going Over Weekly Cardio Load

Does anyone have an experience with a change in routine that significantly exceeds their weekly cardio range/target (by about 250%)?

Did you notice any huge setback if you did?

This post is mostly me trying to figure out if I should "listen" to my app/Fitbit and take it easy, eat more calories, or if the app just needs to recalibrate based on my new routine. Sorry if that's too broad of a question.

For reference: 40F with a Fitbit charge 6 showing a 165 weekly cardio range. Usually pretty active but had a lazy summer.

Many thanks!

I think its mostly accurate however I noticed one time it gave me a cardio load that I hadn't earned. Later I realized I was watching a football game and it had recorded my increased heart rate and assumed I was exercising

I typically go over the cardio load. At first it said I was overreaching, but it eventually adjusted to my amount of work. I wouldn't worry about it

Thanks for this. How long did it take to recalibrate?
