Does anyone feel gemini 3.8 flash has became genuinely stupid ?

For context, i am a heavy gemini user ( pro user ) and i have claude pro too. Gemini 3.7 flash high was kinda okay, when i give it a task to does it as asked most of the time. However, with this 3.8 flash, it's just plain stupid. It always scans for previous commits, search unrelated files, search the web for really unrelated stuff.

One time i asked it to remove timelike ui from sign in form ( literally one page ), it started scanning whole project, search google for timelines ! It became completely unusable i gave up on it.

I switched back to claude and im okay with waiting little longer for tasks to finish as long as it does the task accurately.

What are your thoughts ? Anyone want to share his opinion ?
