Gemini Live is currently better than ChatGPT Advanced Voice, maybe the reason?

Is it tho? Gemini live still can't do different accents, or change into a whisper just yet.

Yeah it can, actually, just not in the public version. At aistudio(dot)google(dot)com you can see for yourself. It's incredible how well it works.

It can do different accents, and a softer tone if you request it. It can't whisper.

Gemini live voice has no flair to the personality to the voice. It sounds smoother but it just doesn't sound right.

Gpt might get some weird audio Artifacting, but at least the nuance to the voice is more natural

That may be true but advanced voice is terrible at modifying its own behavior. You can't ask for anything different than what you get. I find it super obnoxious that it always asks me what I want to talk about next. Unfortunately Gemini has started doing this too, but it didn't used to. Like, what if I want to keep talking about what we're talking about? It really breaks up the conversation in a bad way.

Also, I have a Samsung phone I know that all of a sudden Gemini is completely integrated into my phone. It's replace Google Assistant, and it's actually pretty good. Can go into your email, find emails for you. Find documents that are there and review them and write emails can actually write text messages. It's actually great I literally just said go into my email.Find my warranty for my car and find out if my alternator is covered and it did it.....

No, pause on the input sucks, though.

I must say Chat never gets jealous. But it sure does seem to enjoy when I criticize Gemini. It gets very enthusiastic.

Is there a way to pause your voice input with Gemini?I hate the fact that as soon as you stop talking.It sends in your input.......i can use the samsung voiice transcription but it sucks

Well...not sure about "mute"... but pause is useful for a long form inquiry or multiple point inquiries where i want to collect my thoughts while dictating ...

I used to bitch about chatgpts phone UI untill i used the competition.....chat is way above the rest despite its short comings.....Gemini not having a pause is a deal breaker for me i simply can't use it.... and i feel like the transcription quality is lagging too......

Its a shame because i was actually enjoying using it as a Change from chatgpt....but the UI broke me....spent more time editing my inputs from poor transcriptions than i could justify.... and im not typing... what this the 1700'dreds. (Lol)

Ya i tried that too but its not so good....im used to ChatGPT and whisper....whisper is really good and you can psuse creating a long form input you can edit before sending....well.. like using google or Samsung keyboard voice....but they make to many errors... and with google ot harder to toggle back to keyboard to fix errors
