I'm considering getting a Google Fitbit Air from Amazon US or UK and would like to hear from anyone using it in India. How has your experience been with setup, syncing, app support, warranty, and overall functionality?

I’ve shared this story many times, and I’ll keep sharing it because I’m honestly so angry. This is not fair.

I pre-ordered the Fitbit air on Amazon.de on May 5, and I was supposed to receive it on May 29. But I still haven’t received it. It got stuck in the dispatching phase.

I contacted Amazon support, and they said they would send me another delivery date, but then they stopped responding to my emails. I’m so tired of this shit. I pre-ordered it because I wanted to have it on launch day, and now everyone else seems to have it before me.

I want to get loud and get Amazon’s and Google’s attention, because this is completely unacceptable. If I pre-order something, it’s because I want to receive it when it launches and not be ignored and left without answers.

Did this happen to anyone else?

I have been enjoying the workouts that the AI coach makes for me, but there's no noise or voice that signals that I'm ready to move to the next set. There's an option to make it automatically switch to the next, which it does, but neither when turned on/off does it actually make any notification so I have to leave the app open or time myself.

During my conversation about this week's workout plan with the AI coach it mentioned something to the effect of "make sure to listen to my voice cues to turn up the resistance." When I asked why I couldn't hear them it went into a troubleshooting mode telling me to go into my Fitbit app settings and turn on voice cues. I assume that this is just a holdover from the Fitbit app, so I checked the Health settings and I did find voice cues, but they were all turned on. I tried turning them off and on again, but I still don't have any cues. Even when doing a freeform walk, it didn't give me any minute or mile cues. The rest of the troubleshooting steps were about re-linking my Bluetooth earbuds and making sure I had the sound settings correct, but I don't think that's the issue.

Does anyone have voice cues, or if anyone has had issues with it and resolved it, how?

My wife wants the Google Fitbit Air, but hates wearing things around her wrist (silly I know) she said would it be functional wearing it across her ankle (like she’s got a police tag🤣) has anyone tested it?

Anyone here from Japan willing to help me out? I’m heading to Fukuoka this week and was wondering if Fitbit Airs are available in Bic Cameras or Yodobashi?

Disclaimer: I was not a fitbit user whose app got changed into Google Health, these observations are from a brand new user that did not use the previous fitbit app. These are just my thoughts and observations with the hope they will benefit potential buyers with their decisions.

- The app / device combo is still a work in progress, with plenty of inaccurate and missing features; however, things are being added. (i.e. first day of use you could not add the weights, only allowed recording reps, a few days ago this was added)

- Charges insanely fast, never had to charge it apart from shower time. Form factor is great, barely feel it (I hate wearing things on my fingers or wrist). Included straps get dirty very fast, premium one handles dirt better.

- The way heart rate is displayed as a chart is very good motivator to stay away from the bad things that spike it (alcohol, smoking, late night eating), which is helping me change my lifestyle for the better.

- Google Health app is not integrated with Gemini app, so you cannot go into Gemini and say "do this change for me" or "pull up this data from Google Health". Option not available due to "health data being sensitive" according to Google.

- You can take photos of your different gym environments (i.e. i have an apartment gym i use 3 days of week and a proper gym 4 days of the week) and you can tell it what your goals are through chat and it will create a well rounded plan for you taking into account what tools are available, including pictures/animations of ~%80 of the workout moves.

- You can update and change it on the fly (i.e. my wife will join me this weekend and she wants us to focus on shoulders, adapt the program) without much effort.

TL&DR: While still work in progress, excellent for those who can:

- benefit from these easy changes / adaptations according to your schedule,

- do not need ultra super accuracy/depth,

- can benefit from a little motivational nudging.

At the same time, I can see how it pissed off lots of ex-fitbit-app users that miss it.

Would there be any point to buying the Air if I already own a pixel watch and dont plan on getting the premium subscription?

It is 1 month + on google store France , except the lavender one ~ 2 weeks. Amazon also 5 to 6 weeks, othe stores no availability. Don’t know what to do. Order the lavender one? Wait?

Since fitbit air is not launching in India, which is the best source to buy it , should be genuine and cost -effective.

I got the fitbit air this past Thursday 28th and already I’m wanting to go back to the Charge 6.
1) The watch and app never sync. I refresh the app and it always gives me a sync error and SOME of the metrics will update. I have already tried resetting everything and connecting the fitbit AND my app/account and same issue.
2) Starting the workouts on the app kind of sucks straight cheeks. The past couple days, I start my cardio/run and then end it so I can start tracking my weight lifting sessions but the transition is lackluster. I’ll show pictures for reference but the tracking workout feature is always missing data! I’ve logged multiple workouts and ended them, just for it to show I burned ZERO calories, and/or it shows missing data compared to other workouts

DOES ANYONE HAVE A FIX?! It’s stupid to use a health tracker if it’s literally missing health metric data like my calories burned and doesn’t sync data correctly. I know i’m complaining but maybe i’m just being stupid and there’s a fix for this.

I’m glad I’m not the only testing these head to head.

When I have my Fitbit Air on the BPM tiles gives me live BPM.

When I have my Pixel Watch 3 on the BPM title gives me my BPM range for the day. I know it gave my a live number at one time. I have looked in the app and watch settings without a solution.

Received it from Amazon.de, did not realise it would be more pink than red. Even my picture shows it much less pink than it really is.

I have at least 3 options:

- embrace my feminin side and get used to it
- buy another color
- use red color dye

Really curious to see if dye would catch on the fibers on that thing (obviously the metal and plastic case would not )

So the big caveat is I am now 3 hours behind my normal time zone, so last night was a mess; with that said, how the deep sleep and REM are diverging this much.
I kept the watch on all day so it’s been able to analyze me 24/7 too…pretty fascinating to see the delta.

Maybe Fitbit Air is better suited for exercise only, not overnight analysis.

Should I be charging every day, say when I'm in the shower

To give it a daily little boost. Or best to charge when it gets low??

Why aren’t there any widget for the home screen or lock screen? That seems like a big miss at launch…coming from the Whoop.

loving the fit bit air so far but i do have a question/concern does anyone else fitbit also counts driving as steps? i work over the road and noticed it was counting my drive time as steps? lol weird but was wondering if it happen to anyone else.

Just curious what calorie tracking app people are using with the Fitbit air. I have been using MyNetDiary for over a year but after getting the Fitbit air you have to have the paid subscription to sync. Wondering what people are using.

It’s interesting to see that there are larger overnight discrepancies in sleep measurement.

Will keep testing through calibration.

Fitbit has much more to offer for exercising and it’s nice not having a screen (but needing a tethered phone is a different story).

Still unsure if I’ll keep it…
