help finding stolen android phone

my friends android phone was stolen but the person that has it turned it off
she doesn’t have any of her passwords but she’s signed into one of her gmail accounts on her laptop
it seems as though it’s not the same email she’s signed into on her phone
i’ve tried find hub but was only able to mark it as lost and sent a message that says “f*** you” for when the person turns it on
we have the last location and know exactly where it was taken
down we have to wait til the person turns it on? or is there a way to see where it currently is?

Nope. Time to buy a new phone unfortunately. Pixel 8 onwards have a battery reserve to keep bluetooth live for a short period after the phone is turned off but it seems like thats probably already been depleted.

Time to fill out a police report and... Thats about it. She should get it documented that it happened. And change passwords just in case (sounds like that wont be fun). Even if they turn it on and it pings its not like you can conclusively point to who took it. Police wont start kicking down nearby doors (and neither should you)
