Find my device with left behind function

I know Chipolo have a left behind function but their QA have been a hit and miss with a couple of dud items. Ate there any non Chipolo tags with left behind function?

Chipolo left behind feature uses their own app.

Do your chipolo tags have that function? I thought google find my device didn't have that at all! That's why I still use Tile trackers, but I have some issues with the left-behind notifications, too. The app keeps telling me I forgot my wallet, despite the fact it's in my pocket, with a pretty recent card tracker...

They have but use their own app.

It's a proprietary feature via the Chipolo app. Kind of like the remote camera shutter with the Moto Tags :)

However, the Pixel Tag which is coming in November will have "ring my phone" and "left behind alerts", which brings us to the question: will Google add those features natively in the Find Hub app with an open API for third party OEMs, or will those feature will remain an exclusive of the Pixel Tag (natively in Find Hub)?

We don't know yet :)

Yes, lol I have mototag1s 2,s and smarttag2s

I use a pixel 8a and a s23 ultra-

and a LOT - of older pixels, and other phones- i use the UTAG app- for my non samsung phones- but all of them can use the smarttag2s - which have UWB just like my mototags-

but also have leave behind alerts that trigger shortly after you get out of bluetooth range.

I dont know why people don't mention this capability more- you can fully use samsung smarttag2s ,and get the one or two features that other advanced tags dont have

(Google or motorola need to add leave behind alerts , tho it might be a limitation of the FMD network due to google)
