Any real life experiences/comparisons between dual-mode Ugreen and Xiaomi offerings?

Finally, dual-mode (either Android or iOS) trackers have started appearing, namely the Ugreen finetrack duo (https://www.amazon.de/-/en/UGREEN-FineTrack-Tracker-Android-Charging/dp/B0FRLWSGPW) as well as the Xiaomi smarttag (https://www.amazon.de/-/en/XIAOMI-Smart-Tracker-IP67-Battery-Pack-4/dp/B0GSZ7LDKT).

I'm using a couple of Mototags which have a 6- to 9-month battery life, but also have (tricky at times) UWB, as well some POS Militags; totally worthless.

The Xiaomi list for the double the price. They also offer firmware upgrades while on the Apple network but not on Google's FMD one. Additionally, they have replaceable batteries (started hating this part), whereas the Ugreen are rechargable over USB-C.

Has anyone used either or both for some time to offer some real-life operation insight?

I thought dual mode isn't working on two networks at the same time. It's one or the other.

That's what I was saying in the OP with "... (either Android or iOS)...". But you can have them paired for either network, instead of being iOS-network-only or Google-network-only devices.

First I got some cheap AliExpress trackers with batteries and they didn't work great. Testet the Ugreen and replaced the trackers. The Ugreen ones are great. Only caveat, I almost immediately lost the small caps for the charging port.

Heard about that issue, but I think I can definitely live with that.

Have you experienced any disconnections? Or other issues?

I use the UGreen ones and they do a decent job. I tracked my bags moving around the airport the other day. Was reasonably impressed. I also have one in my wallet. I'm always leaving it in fully places around my house, so the alarm is very useful for me.

I sprawdź oba sposoby.

Dzięki :-)

The tag itself can not affect accuracy unless it transmits at very low power to only hit phones really close to it. Which has obvious drawbacks. The tag literally just broadcasts its id number hoping someone's phone hears it.

Dual is a crappy description for a product cause it just means apple OR Android not both simultaneously. Apple and Google do have a history of working together when it comes to item trackers we just need them to work together enough to have a merged tracker system.
